Once upon a time on the shores of magical Lake Atitlan there was a magical backpacker inn called "Las Milpas", where, every full moon, whatever musician who found himself on the lake came for some of the best jamming ever. This is the record of just such a magical night, when there were up to 13 people on stage at any one time, many who had never met. This was in the days of the Discos Atitlan cooperative, so everyone was really into sharing. This music was recorded on a digital stereo recorder and is amazing for it's eclectic mix. It sounds at times like the band has been practicing forever, and there are some very original movements in some of the music. This is freedom music at it's finest!
